To photograph Sonja and Sunny, I packed my backpack and made my way from Munich to Frankfurt.
I spent almost three hours on the train, drinking lemonade and wondering what it would be like to meet the two of them.
I was warmly welcomed by the beautiful city on the Main River, greeted by rays of sunshine and this sweet, sweet couple. From the moment I met them, I liked both of them immediately. I loved how they laughed with their eyes and how wonderfully relaxed they were in front of me. There was music, a few glasses of wine… we enjoyed a lovely late summer afternoon on the terrace. While photographing, I lost all sense of time and space and just enjoyed the moment. There were only these two in front of me and the electricity in the air. I wanted to capture them exactly as they were—beautiful, special, real. They’re one of those couples whose relationship and chemistry truly inspire you.
It was my most beautiful trip to Frankfurt. See for yourselves and feel close to the moment.
