This summer, I had the pleasure of capturing the wedding of Lea & Michael. Although it’s been a few months now, as I write these words, I’m instantly transported back to that day, and I’m filled with the urge to dance and celebrate. Their wedding was emotional, modern, and simply sparkling.
But let’s start from the beginning. In the afternoon, I headed to the Bayerischer Hof in Munich, where I photographed Michi’s getting ready. I spent about half an hour with him and his best man, capturing the moments as he prepared for the day. Michi seemed super relaxed and happy, as if he couldn’t wait to meet Lea. He put on his suit, had a beer with his best friend, picked out his shoes, and carefully laced them up. He was ready.
Afterwards, we drove to the nearby wedding venue, the Palais Lenbach, where Lea was getting ready. This is where I met the bride, and I was almost speechless. She looked stunning and full of grace. She was preparing in one of the rooms with her friends, radiating pure joy. Meanwhile, the first guests had arrived and were enjoying a drink. The ceremony room began to fill.
In the arm of her father, Lea entered the room, and all the guests were visibly moved. She walked toward Michi, and you could feel how much she was savoring every moment. The two of them had a beautiful evening ceremony at the Palais Lenbach, conducted by the one-of-a-kind Kristina Kutz. The ceremony was so authentic and personal, and there was something intimate about it, thanks to the lovely atmosphere of the Lenbach. It was truly epic.
For me and their many guests, another highlight of the evening was the party. But see for yourselves!
